Within the framework of Missions du toit du monde, organised by Missions Etrangères de Paris, Stéphane Gros, doctor in social anthropology and researcher at CNRS, gave a conference on what happened when Tibetan ethnic minorities met missionaries. After explaining the Tibetan context in the 19th century, he traced back over the work of missioniaries and the difficulties they encountered.
